GATE 2022 Website Goes Unresponsive, Registration Deadline Extended Till September 28

On the last day of registration, the portal of the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2022 goes unresponsive, leaving candidates in dilemma. While the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in is running properly, candidates are facing difficulties when they select the "Apply Online" option. It displays the warning "503 Service Unavailable" after a few minutes of loading. Today, September 24, 2021, was the last day to register for the GATE 2022 examination without incurring any late fees. However, due to technical issues, the deadline has been extended till September 28, 2021.

Why Error Message Appearing On The GATE 2022 Website?

When a website is offline or the server is down, a "503 Service Unavailable" error message appears. There are numerous reasons for the website's failure to function properly. However, in the case of GATE 2022, the reasons for server downtime could include Excessive traffic or Website maintenance.

GATE 2022 Registration Date Extended

On September 2, the GATE 2022 online registration window opened. The exam's registration period will end on September 28. Candidates who are interested and eligible but have not yet enrolled for the exam must do so immediately. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 will be held at IIT Kharagpur on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022. To register for GATE 2022, interested and qualified candidates may go to the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a test conducted in collaboration with the seven IITs by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore. Through GATE scores, students are shortlisted for admission to M. Tech. and ME programmes. GATE scores are also used by a number of PSUs to shortlist candidates for the recruiting process. Scores from the GATE exam are valid for three years.
