Garg appointed VC of Uttarakhand Technical University

Dehradun, March 27: Professor and Head of the Civil Engineering Department of IIT Roorkee Pradip Kumar Garg was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University.

Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul appointed Garg to the post under the provisions of the Uttarakhand Technical University Act 2005, a Raj Bhawan release said.

The appointment has been made for three years or till superannuation whichever comes earlier, it said

Born on August 11, 1958, Garg is a remote sensing and earth quake expert, it said.

Garg has published more than 270 papers in national and international conferences and seminars and has authored a text book on Remote Sensing and produced two technical films on Story of Mapping.
