Indian business schools have achieved the top ranks for salary results three years after graduation in the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking of Global Business Schools 2023.
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad topped the list with a weighted salary of $137,918. The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, the SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), and the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow are all close behind at $137,185. Surprisingly, the world's top business school, HEC Paris in Europe, was ranked fifth with a weighted salary of $129,806.
SPJIMR's two-year, full-time postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) program is ranked 40th in the world and first in India. SPJIMR has been listed among the top 50 business schools in the world for the fourth year in a row.

FT MiM Rankings 2023
SPJIMR has been listed among the top 50 business schools in the world for the fourth year in a row. Furthermore, it ranks first among Indian management institutes, with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad ranking 43rd. Eleven Indian institutions have been featured in the FT Masters in Management rankings for 2023, including IIM Calcutta (ranked 60th) and IIM Lucknow (ranked 72nd). European institutions from France, Spain, and Italy, among others, dominate the top ranks.
The FT MiM rankings include programs geared for participants with little or no work experience that are offered by institutions with AACSB or EQUIS accreditation. The rating criteria are classified into several categories, including alumni professional advancement, school diversity, and international research and experience. Alumni career advancement, which has a 55% weighting, focuses on post-program alumni achievement. School diversity is a 22 percent weighted metric that assesses the institution's inclusion and diversity.
A weighting of 23% for foreign experience and research emphasizes global exposure and research contributions. SPJIMR also ranked seventh globally in the careers service criterion, demonstrating its effectiveness in assisting students with placements and providing graduates with exceptional employment possibilities. The institute was ranked 32nd in the alumni network, 78th in the carbon footprint rank, 24th in ESG and net zero teaching rank, and 89th and 100% in international work mobility and internship, respectively.
