Final placements at IIM Calcutta concluded, with 464 students securing a total of 529 offers

The flagship MBA program at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) has concluded its placement process with remarkable success. In the 2024 placement season, IIM Calcutta achieved a perfect 100% placement rate, with all 464 participating students securing a total of 529 offers from 194 companies.

IIM Calcutta announced the successful completion of final placements for its 59th batch of the flagship MBA program on February 15, maintaining its tradition of achieving 100% placements for another year despite challenging market conditions. In a statement released on Monday, the B-school revealed that 464 students participated in the process, securing a total of 529 offers extended by 194 companies. The consulting sector emerged as the leading recruiter, with 167 students (comprising 31.6% of the total offers) securing offers. Accenture Strategy emerged as the top recruiter within the consulting sector, alongside other prominent firms such as EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte, KPMG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Vector Consulting, Arthur D. Little, McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Kearney, among others.

This year, a novel trend emerged with companies offering positions within the 'Founder's office'. Notable entities such as OLA, IndusInd Bank, Newme, ParkStreet, PoshN, Kofluence, and others extended these roles. Moreover, the season witnessed the engagement of numerous first-time recruiters like Jio Financial Services, Hero Fincorp, Yubi, Sobha Realty, Sirius AI, Husk Power Systems, and DMI Finance.
Furthermore, there was increased interest observed in the pre-placement offer pathway. Several global firms participated as first-time recruiters, and IIM Calcutta is pleased to collaborate with them, given its robust talent pool.
