XAT 2016 Exam Time-Table

The exam dates for Xavier Aptitude Test 2016 (XAT 2016) has been announced by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. XAT 2016 will be conducted on January 3, 2016.

XAT entrance exam is conducted on the first Sunday of January every year for admissions into various PG courses offered by over 100 institutes across the country.

The XAT is a three-hour long exam. The questions are based on quantative ability (Mathematics), verbal Ability (English) and data Interpretation/logical reasoning skills. The final section contains questions based on general awareness and essay writing.


Eligibility for XAT 2016
Candidates who have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a reconginsed university from India/abraod are eligible to apply.

How to apply for XAT 2016
The registrations for XAT 2016 will commence from the last week of August 2015.

Exam Paper Pattern for XAT 2016
The paper pattern for XAT 2016 is not very different from the previous year. XAT 2016 test will be of 3 hours. The paper will have the following 4 sections:

  • Verbal and Logical Ability
  • Decision Making
  • Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
  • General Knowledge.
