TISS National Entrance Test 2015 for admission to PG courses

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), invites applications for admission to Postgraduate degree courses through a TISS National Entrance Test (TISS-NET) 2015.

TISS conducts entrance test through its 9 schools and 3 independent centers at the Mumbai Campus, along with vibrant campuses in Tuljapur (Maharashtra), Guwahati and Hyderabad offers 39 highly competitive, socially relevant M.A. / M.Sc. / M.P.H./ M.H.A programmes in inter and trans-disciplinary areas of social work, health, management, development, habitat and climate sciences.

The PG Programmes are offered at:

• School of Social Work (M.A Social Work)
• School of Management and Labour Studies
• School of Health Systems Studies
• School of Development Studies
• School of Education
• School of Habitat Studies
• Centre for Human Ecology
• Centre for Media and Cultural Studies
• Centre for Digital Library and Information Sciences

TISS-NET 2015:

• Computer based National Entrance test (TISS-NET) will be held on January 10, 2015, in 39 centres located in different parts of the country. The computer based test is of objective type and even those with a rudimentary knowledge of working with a computer can take the test.
• The objective test will have questions related to General Knowledge; Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning; and English Proficiency.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with 55% of marks from any of the recognised universities.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected based on written test conducted by the institute group discussion and personal interview.

How to apply:

• The candidates have to fill the application form online.
• The application form can also be obtained from the institute. Candidates have to send a request for printed form by Speed Post with application fees to Assistant Registrar(Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar, Mumbai - 400088.

Note:
Please note that candidates applying through the E-application form should not send the application form by post.

• Last date for online registration is November 29, 2014.
• Last date for the receipt of application form is December 01, 2014.
• TISS-NET 2014 would be held on January 10, 2014.
