Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bangalore had concluded the Karnataka CET 2014 2nd round extended online counselling, and has started counselling for the candidates who have passed the supplementary examination.
A total of 6,707 engineering seats are lying vacant in engineering colleges across the Karnataka state, after the overall counselling process.
The seat allotment results for the students who had passed the supplementary examination were announced on July 29.
KEA had called the passed students(62,276) of class 12th supplementary examination to fill their choice of seats in engineering colleges. Around 9,897 seats were available for them at that time.
However, around 13,348 students were allotted KCET 2014 ranks and only 3,581 students had appeared for the document verification process and 3,240 students entered 94,942 options in the online choice of filling.
According to KEA, 3,190 seats were allotted in the extra round and 3910 students have not been allotted any seat yet.
A total of 9,897 engineering seats were unallocated to the students, out of the 65,685 seats.
