ComedK: 86 dental seats left vacant

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), Bangalore has concluded the UGET 2014 medical and dental courses seat allotment process / counselling on July 21.

During the first round of ComedK counselling, a total of 1,830 students had participated and had taken 696 MBBS and 621 BDS seats in the colleges affiliated for ComedK.

On July 16, around 112 medical (MBBS) and 114 dental (BDS) seats were surrendered to ComedK before the commencement of 2nd round of counselling.

Meanwhile, 80 new MBBS and 4 BDS seats were added to the ComedK seat matrix, in pursuant to additional sanctions of member colleges, Sridevi Institute of Medical Science, Tumkur and S Nijalingappa Medical College, Bagalkot.

As many as 192 MBBS and 259 BDS seats have been offered during the 2nd round of counselling. Around 1,234 students have been participated in 2nd round.

ComedK is all set to conduct engineering and architecture 2nd round counselling from July 23, read here.

All the 192 MBBS and 177 BDS seats were taken by the candidates and in the balance of 82 BDS seats were left vacant.

According to the Comedk agreement, remained seats will be returned to the concerned colleges on or before July 30.
