CMAT September 2014: Day 3, 4 and 5 exam analysis

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi had conducted the Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) September 2014 on September 25 across the country. It was a 5 day test window and had started on September 25 and had concluded on September 29, 2014.

 

CMAT 2014 contained a total of 100 questions from 4 sections with 25 questions each.

Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation:
This section had questions in moderate level. There was a questions based on geometry, algebra, numbers etc. Some students felt that some questions were time consuming to answer. The DI section was lengthy.

Logical Reasoning:
It was lengthy compared to last two days of papers. The questions were not in sets and one question had to be answered on each data, which made the overall section little time-consuming.

English Comprehension:
This section had a passage of 300 to 400 words, which was followed by 15 to 16 questions. The questions were of mixed type, with more moderate and a few tricky questions.

General Awareness:
This section was of moderate difficulty on day 3, 4 and 5. It had a mix of conventional as well as international General Knowledge (GK).

Overall, this year's CMAT paper was moderate and the students can expect good scores and can hope to gain MBA and PGDM admissions in any of the top B-schools.
