The Union Minister for Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has released the much anticipated dates for CBSE board exams 2021 involving classes 10 and 12 on the eve of new year. The exams will commence from May 4 and end before June 10, the Minister informed through his twitter handle.

The Minister further informed that the CBSE practical exams will commence on March 1 and stated that the CBSE board exam 2021 results will be declared by July 15 during a live twitter session.
The CBSE board exams will have 33 per cent internal choice with 30 per cent of reduced syllabus, the Minister added.

Following the announcement of CBSE exam dates 2021 by the education minister, the central board of secondary education (CBSE) issuing a statement said, "Schools will be allowed to conduct Practical/Project/Internal Assessment of Class 10 and Class 12 from 1 March, 2021 to the last date of conduct of theory examination of these classes. Date sheet of both Class 10th & 12th will be issued soon."
Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal during an earlier interaction with teachers and students from across the country on the impending CBSE board exams 2021 had stated that the board exams for classes 10 and 12 will not be held in January-February and dates concerning the same will be announced later.
The Minister had also ruled out cancellation of 2021 board exams claiming it might result in students facing a lot of trouble in getting jobs and perusal of higher education in near future.
