Education Minister Announces Linking Of OTPRMS With DigiLocker, Waives Off Certificate Registration Fee

Candidates can now obtain their OTPRMS certificates without any hassle from DigiLocker following an announcement by the Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal to link the Online Teacher-Pupil Registration Management System (OTPRMS) certificates with DigiLocker.

The move to link OTPRMS certificates with DigiLocker by the Ministry of Education is aimed at ensuring a hassle-free access to verified OTPRMS certificates by the candidates.

Informing about the same, Education Minister Pokhriyal tweeted, "In our effort to provide free access to verified Online Teacher Pupil Registration Management System Certificates, @EduMinOfIndia has decided to link the certificates with DigiLocker. DigiLocker App may be downloaded from apple and play store as well!"

In addition to the linking of OTPRMS certificates with DigiLocker, the Education Minister also announced the waving off registration fee that is payable for obtaining the OTPRMS certificates.

Candidates can now obtain the OTPRMS certificates issued by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) directly from DigiLocker without paying a registration fee of Rs. 200 that stands waived off.

DigiLocker - a digital document wallet from the Government of India confirming the linking of OTPRMS certificates said the OTPRMS certificates are now also available in digital format to candidates through DigiLocker.

The candidates who have received their OTPRMS certificate from NCTE, can also download the same in their DigiLocker App for Android phone from Google Play Store and for iPhone from App Store.
