East Coast Railway: Apply Online For 1,216 Apprentices Post In Multiple Trades Before January 6

The Indian Railways through the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), East Coast Railway (ECR), Bhubaneswar in Odisha, has invited online applications from eligible and interested Indian nationals for filling 1,216 vacancies to the post of Apprentices in multiple trades comprising COPA, Fitter, Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Machinist, Mechanic (MV), Carpenter, Electrician, Refrigeration and AC Mechanic, Wiremen, Painter, Turner, Mason, Electronics Mechanic, etc, through direct recruitment. The online application process towards the same started on December 7, 2019 and closes on January 6, 2019 by 11:59 pm.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Apprentices post through East Coast Railway must have attained 15 years of age as on December 28, 2019 and not have exceeded 24 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 3 years (OBC), 5 years (SC/ST) and 10 years (PWD) respectively.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 (Gen/OBC) as application processing fee through online (net-bankling/credit/debit etc, payments mode) or any other mode as specified. SC/SC/PWD and Women candidates are exempted from pay the application fee.

Educational Credentials and Eligibility

Desirous candidates applying for Apprentices post through East Coast Railway must have passed Class 10/SSLC/Matriculation or equivalent with ITI COPA, Fitter, Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Machinist, Mechanic (MV), Carpenter, Electrician, Refrigeration and AC Mechanic, Wiremen, Painter, Turner, Mason, Electronics Mechanic, etc, trades from a NCVT/SCVT recongnised Board/Institute as specified in the notification.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as Apprentices through East Coast Railway will be done through Shortlisting, Trade Test and Certificate Verification.

Candidates selected as Apprentices through East Coast Railway will be paid emolument as per the apprenticeship norms.
