EAMCET 2014: No clarity on Medical courses counselling in TS and AP

The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences has not released any notification regarding the medical courses counselling in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, it was announced that the EAMCET 2014 counselling for Medical and Dental courses would commence from August 27, 2014.

Andhra Pradesh state Health minister, Srinivas, said that the counselling process for admission to Medical and Dental courses would commence from August 27 in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.

According to the latest report from the Telanagana government, it was said that the notification on medical courses counselling would be released today, August 25, 2014 and counselling would begin on August 30.

"The broad idea, now, is to somehow start the academic session on September 1 after the first two days of counselling. But, one can never foresee practical problems," said an official of the NTR University of Health Sciences.

"The process will not begin if the notification is not issued on August 25, leaving no candidate available for starting the academic session on September 1. Then, both governments have to approach the Supreme Court for extension of deadline. After all, the schedule was issued by the apex court," a senior official explained adding that the TS officials are awaiting CM KCR's return from Singapore for his nod.
