Amid the surge in the Covid-19 cases across the country, the University of Delhi has postponed the final-year semester exams for the students of Undergraduate and Postgraduates. The exams which were scheduled to be held on June 1, 2021, have been postponed for the second time and will now commence on June 7, 2021.
The DU final year exam is likely to be held in an online mode in the open-book format. DS Rawat, Dean of examinations said that the students of intermediate semesters, first and second-year students will not have to appear for the exams, and they will be promoted on the basis of internal assessments.

'The University will conduct online open-book exams like the last year from June 7, 2021. The detailed guidelines will be announced on May 21, 2021,' added Rawat.
The Delhi University announced the news through its Twitter handle and stated, "It is hereby notified for information of all the concerned that the Final Semester/Annual Examinations May/June 2021 to be commenced from 1st June 2021 are hereby postponed and same shall start from 7th June 2021. Accordingly, all the Date Sheets released for commencement of examinations from 15th May 2021 are hereby withdrawn."

Earlier, the University of Delhi had postponed the final year exams for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students scheduled to be conducted in Mid-May due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.
