The University of Delhi (DU) is set to host the second edition of its AVASAR 2026 Placement and Internship Fair on October 7, 2026. More than 4,000 students have registered for the event, while over 85 organisations are expected to participate. The placement drive is being organised by the Central Placement Cell (CPC) under the Office of the Dean of Students' Welfare.

The event will be held from 9 am to 5 pm at the Indoor Stadium, Multipurpose Hall, Gate No. 2, North Campus, University of Delhi. AVASAR is intended to bring students and employers together and provide opportunities for both placements and internships.
The university has reported more than 4,000 registrations for the second edition of AVASAR. The event is open to students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes at Delhi University, as well as DU alumni. Students from the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) can also participate. There is no registration fee for students attending the placement fair.
AVASAR was previously conducted as a Job Mela and has been repositioned as a placement and internship fair. The event provides participants with an opportunity to meet recruiters directly and learn about available roles and industry requirements.
More than 85 organisations are expected at DU AVASAR 2026, representing different sectors and professional areas. Organisations listed in connection with the event include SPRIX Japan, Teach for India, Kotak Life, PPG Foundation, Influngio, Surasa, Dear Sir E-Learning, Cambridge School, Bharti Bhawan, Unthinkable Solutions, Muthoot Finance, Verdicto, Connect Jobs, LSSSDC, Intellexia Tech and Hazelnut Cyborg Infra Solutions, among others.
The participating organisations will offer students opportunities to explore job and internship roles based on their educational qualifications, skills and eligibility.
According to the University of Delhi, the highest annual salary package being offered through the placement drive exceeds ₹10 lakh. The university has also stated that the highest internship stipend is up to ₹60,000 per month. These figures represent the highest packages or stipends reported by the university and do not indicate that every participant will receive the same offer. Individual compensation will depend on the organisation, role, eligibility criteria and selection process.
Students participating in the placement and internship fair should carry multiple updated copies of their resume or CV and a valid identity document. DU's placement portal advises students to bring at least five to six copies of their updated CVs and a valid ID such as an Aadhaar card or college ID.
Participants are also advised to attend the event in formal or professional attire. Depending on the recruiter, students may take part in company presentations, interviews, group discussions, screening rounds or other selection activities.
