DSSSB Opens Fresh Application Window for 2009 DASS Grade II Applicants Against 606 ASO Vacancies

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has commenced a special online application process for candidates who had applied for the DASS Grade II Recruitment under Post Code 90/09 in 2009.

The fresh application window has been opened following the Supreme Court's order dated February 27, 2026, which provides eligible applicants with another opportunity to compete for recruitment to 606 Grade II (GNCTDSS)/Assistant Section Officer (ASO) vacancies under Post Code 804/26.

As per the official notification, the application portal became active at 12:00 PM on July 17, 2026, and will remain open until 5:00 PM on August 17, 2026. Eligible candidates must submit a fresh online application through the dedicated link available on the official DSSSB recruitment portal.

Fresh Application Mandatory for Eligible Candidates

DSSSB has clarified that this special recruitment exercise is applicable only to candidates who had submitted applications under Post Code 90/09 in 2009. Merely applying in 2009 does not automatically make a candidate eligible for the current recruitment process.

To participate in the ongoing selection process, all eligible applicants must complete a fresh online registration within the prescribed dates. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

Recruitment for 606 Assistant Section Officer Posts

The recruitment drive has been launched to fill 606 vacancies for the post of Grade II (GNCTDSS)/Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in various departments of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).

The examination schedule, admit card release date, and other recruitment-related updates will be announced separately by the Board through its official website.

Candidates must upload documentary proof confirming that they had applied for the 2009 recruitment under Post Code 90/09.

Apart from fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribed in the notification, candidates should note that:

The opportunity is restricted to applicants of the 2009 recruitment only.
Candidates attaining 60 years of age, which is the prescribed age of superannuation in government service, before appointment will not be considered eligible.
Other eligibility conditions will be verified during the recruitment process.

No Application Fee

DSSSB has confirmed that no application fee will be charged from candidates applying under this special recruitment window. Eligible applicants can complete the registration process free of cost.
