Draupadi Murmu Sworn In As 15th President Of India: Youngest President Who Born In Independent India

Today is one of the auspicious days when the Republic of India gets its 15th President. This occasion is even more special because for the first time the representative of Tribal Heartland has been selected for the post of the President on July 25. Today as the 15th President of India, Draupadi Murmu has sworn in, in the Parliament House Of India, New Delhi. The oath of the President of India has been administered by Chief Justice of India Mr NV Ramana.

After the tenure of the 14th President of India Mr Ramnath Kovid completed, Mrs Draupadi has become the 15th President of India. Draupadi Murmu's election as the President marks the beginning of a new era. After Pratibha Patil who served as the President of India from 2007 to 2012, Draupadi Murmu is the second woman President of India. At an age of 64 years, Draupadi Murmu is the Youngest President of India. Previously Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, the 6th President of India was known as the Youngest president.
