Delhi University's Vision: From Satellites to Sustainability and Student Empowerment

In a bold move toward reducing its carbon footprint, Delhi University plans to transition its campus to exclusively use electric vehicles (EVs). The initial phase of this plan targets areas like Chhatra Marg, where electric vehicles will be introduced to create a cleaner, more sustainable environment for students and faculty. This initiative reflects the university's proactive approach to combating climate change and fostering a zero-emission campus.

Beyond sustainability, Delhi University is also focusing on the well-being of its students-particularly those in need. In an inspiring initiative, the university will offer free working lunches to underprivileged students. The concept is simple but powerful: in exchange for light work, students can receive free meals at the university's cafeteria. Strict food safety standards will be followed, and the program will also involve self-help groups in the food procurement process, strengthening ties with the local community.

In a bid to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, Delhi University plans to establish a 'University Haat'-a commercial space where students can showcase and sell products from their start-ups.
