Delhi University registration to begin on April 1

The registration process will be done online this year. The centralised online registration system was introduced last year at DU.

Candidates can access the PG admissions portal of DU for details.

In a recent development with regard to the varsity, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has directed DU to initiate action to put into practice the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) from the coming academic session.

"The University Grants Commission (UGC) has requested for swift action on the implementation of CBCS as well as the Credit Framework for Skill Development (CFSD) from the 2015 academic session", according to a written communication from the ministry to the varsity

Starting from 2015-16 academic year, CBCS is expected to be implemented in all universities of the country.

The new system is being implemented to bring about a merger of knowledge with expertise in the education system of India.

The credit framework for skills will foster respect for skills/vocational courses and bring such courses under mainstream higher education.
