Delhi University PG Admissions: Registration Date Extended till May 30

Delhi University has extended online registration date for admission to post-graduate courses following several complaints from students about server failure to process the applications.

As per new dates, the registrations will be opened till May 30, 2016.

According to Hindustan Times "The 'Online Registration and Registration Fee Payment' for applying to the Postgraduate/Masters courses shall reopen from May, 25, 2016 and will continue till the midnight of May, 30, 2016" the registrar said in a statement.

DU PG Admissions Registration Date Extended

Students, who were not able to process online applications had submitted a memorandum at dean students' welfare office, seeking to extend the last date for submission of post graduate application.

The online registration at Delhi University began from April 28, 2016. With extension of dates, candidates are granted permission to register online till May 30 and the registrants will be allowed to pay online registration fees till 4 pm on May 31, 2016.

This year, university opens admission for 8,000 seats in 66 postgraduate courses. Admission to these seats will be offered based on the entrance exam and interview, conducted by the university. However, the departments reserve 50 % seats for students who are graduated from the DU.

Entrance Exam Date:

The entrance exams are scheduled to be held from June 18, 2016 to 24, 2016 and interviews for the same is expected to complete by July 4, 2016.

However, the entrance test for postgraduate courses will be organised at six centres outside the national capital. The test will be conducted in the following cities namely Kolkata, Chennai, Jammu, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Varanasi.
