Delhi University Announces Academic Calendar for First-Year Undergraduates for 2024-2025

The University of Delhi has released the academic calendar for first-year undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 session. Classes for Semester 1 will begin on Thursday, August 29. The theory exams for these students are scheduled to start on January 6, followed by a brief winter break.

After completing their first year, students will enjoy summer vacations from June 29 to July 20, 2025. This session includes admissions across 79 programs and 69 colleges. The counselling process is already underway, with the second phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG process having started on August 1.

CSAS UG Counselling Process

The CSAS UG counselling comprises three phases:

• Phase I: Applying to Delhi University.
• Phase II: Filling in preferred programs and colleges.
• Phase III: Allocation or admission round.

Admission Criteria

The primary criterion for seat allocation is the score obtained by candidates in the CUET UG exam 2024. Additionally, Delhi University will consider board marks to fill any remaining vacant seats.
