Academic Expansion: Modern Courses with a Global Edge
DTU is introducing cutting-edge academic programmes that align with international standards and national priorities under the NEP 2020 framework:
New B.Tech Specialisations: In emerging areas such as Cybersecurity, AI & Data Analytics, and VLSI/Semiconductors.
Integrated Degrees: 5-year integrated BSc-MSc programmes in core sciences and economics, offering multiple entry-exit points.
Research-Oriented M.Tech: Launch of an MTech by Research programme, offering a 70% research and 30% coursework model for aspiring scholars.
New Department: Establishment of a Department of Geospatial Science & Technology focusing on disaster response, spatial planning, and sustainability.
Research Excellence: Driving Innovation & Societal Impact
To foster innovation and industry-driven research, DTU is strengthening its infrastructure:
A New Research Park at Narela: A centre designed to encourage R&D collaborations between academia and industry.

- Wright State University & Bradley University (USA): MoUs to foster academic mobility and collaborative projects.
- South Asian University: For regional collaboration and PhD-level research integration.
- Global Exchange Rollout: Semester exchange, short-term study abroad, and dual degree programmes are being implemented in phases.
Digital Learning & Outreach
DTU is also prioritising online and community-based learning:
- Launch of online certificate programmes targeting working professionals and learners in remote areas.
- Village outreach programmes to promote digital literacy and education access in underserved regions.
- Integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into curriculum design and research themes.
Industry Collaboration & Start-up Support
DTU is aligning closely with industries and nurturing its entrepreneurial ecosystem:
- Collaborations with DRDO, Samsung, and GRID-India for sponsored research and skill development.
