Delhi School Reopening News: Schools in Delhi are likely to reopen from January 18 (Monday) onwards for Class 10 and Class 12 students in the wake of the announcement of the CBSE board exam and practical dates which are scheduled to start on March 1.
The decision, however, to come to schools has been made optional requiring parental consent, according to Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia.
Informing about the decision to reopen schools in Delhi, Education Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted, "In view of CBSE board examinations and practicals in Delhi, permission is being given to open schools for practical, project, counselling, etc. purposes for Class 10th and Class 12th students from January 18."
दिल्ली में CBSE बोर्ड परीक्षाओं व प्रैक्टिकल के मद्देनज़र 10वीं और 12 वीं क्लास के लिए 18 जनवरी से प्रैक्टिकल, प्रोजेक्ट, काउंसिलिंग आदि के लिए स्कूल खोलने की अनुमति दी जा रही है. अभिभावकों की सहमति से ही बच्चों को बुलाया जा सकेगा. बच्चों को आने के लिए बाध्य नहीं किया जाएगा.

"Children will be called only with the consent of parents. Children will not be forced to come," the Education Minister added.
Education Minister Nishank Releases CBSE Exam Dates 2021 For Classes 10 And 12
Following the announcement of CBSE exam dates 2021 by Union Education Minister, the central board of secondary education (CBSE) issuing a statement said, "Schools will be allowed to conduct Practical/Project/Internal Assessment of Class 10 and Class 12 from 1 March, 2021 to the last date of conduct of theory examination of these classes. Date sheet of both Class 10th & 12th will be issued soon."
Earlier, the Union Minister for Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced that the CBSE board exams 2021 for classes 10 and 12 will start on May 4 and end before June 10, while the CBSE practical exams will commence on March 1 with the CBSE board exam results declared by July 15.
