  • Query Resolution Window for First List: January 18 - January 27, 2025

Reservation for EWS, DG, and Disabled Children

The DoE has reserved 25% of the seats for children from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and those with disabilities. To facilitate a smooth admission process for these groups, a separate merit list will be released. This initiative aligns with the government's goal of making quality education accessible to all societal groups, especially those who are often marginalized.

Age Relaxation Flexibility

The DoE offers flexibility in terms of age limits for admissions. Heads of schools have the discretion to grant an age relaxation of up to 30 days for both the minimum and upper age limits. Parents who wish to request such a relaxation can do so by submitting a manual application to the school's principal or head.

The DoE's structured approach for nursery, KG, and Class 1 admissions for the 2025-26 session reflects its commitment to providing equitable education opportunities. By adhering to a clear timetable, offering age relaxations, ensuring transparency with the draw of lots, and focusing on the inclusion of marginalized groups, the DoE is making strides in creating a fair, accessible, and inclusive education system for all of Delhi's children. Parents are encouraged to stay informed and follow the deadlines to ensure a smooth application process.
