Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a "Customized Crash Course programme for COVID-19 frontline workers" at 11 am through video conferencing. Union Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey also graced the event. The crash course will benefit over one lakh COVID warriors to hone their skills. The programme has been designed under the central component of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.

Customized Crash Course Programme For COVID-19 Frontline Workers
The Customized Crash Course will offer training in 111 centres across 26 states in the country. It provides training to Covid warriors in six customised job roles listed below.
- Home Care Support
- Basic Care Support
- Advanced Care Support
- Emergency Care Support
- Sample Collection Support
- Medical Equipment Support
"The programme has been designed as a special programme under the Central Component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, with a total financial outlay of Rs. 276 crore. The programme will create skilled non-medical healthcare workers to fill the present and future needs of manpower in the health sector," reads the official statement.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi has urged the services from students of MBBS final year, nurses and others to deal with the health crisis.
