CUSAT 2024 Registration Started; Know How to Apply, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern and more

The registration for the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 commenced on January 27, 2024. This university-level exam is conducted annually by the Cochin University of Science and Technology at various centers across the country.

CUSAT 2024 Registration Started

Students aspiring for admission to various UG/PG courses can apply for the test. For MBA admissions, the university considers valid scores from KMAT/CAT (IIM)/CMAT, and the selection is based on national-level scores, GD, and interview rounds. For M.Tech, candidates with valid GATE scores are given preference. The application process will start from January 2024.

CUSAT CAT 2024

The CUSAT CAT 2024, including application submission, admit card release, examination, result announcement, and counseling process, are divided into several parts. To facilitate tracking of the admission process, candidates are provided with the complete CUSAT CAT registration form 2024 dates. It is advisable to complete all admission processes within the specified time to be considered for admission to CUSAT.

How to apply for CUSAT 2024?

Online Registration: Students need to register by providing all mandatory details, after which a confirmation mail and SMS will be sent to them.
Filling Details: Log in with the provided details and start filling the application form with personal and reservation details.
Uploading of Images: Students must upload their photograph and signature following the specified format and size.
Selection of Course: Carefully select programs and test codes.
Short Preview: A preview will be shown after submitting course details. In case any change is required, make it and save changes.
Payment: Pay the application fee as per categories through available payment modes.
Selection of Center: After fee payment, a list of available test centers will be displayed. Candidates must choose one for which seats are available.
Final Submission: Submit the application form and print the fee receipt and application for future use.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Eligibility

Candidates must have completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, with an average of at least 60% marks in PCM and a minimum of 50% in Mathematics alone. Additionally, applicants should have passed English in 10th or 12th grade with a minimum of 50% marks. For Instrumentation & Technology, a 55% score in Mathematics is required. MBA Applicants: Candidates applying for MBA programs should have a valid KMAT/CMAT/CAT (IIM) Score.

CAT Exam Pattern

The CAT is a three-hour test comprising 225 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on the Plus Two syllabus. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry contribute 90, 75, and 60 questions, respectively.
Test for B.Tech.LET. Programme: This exam consists of 200 objective-type questions covering various subjects. It includes 20 questions on English, 50 questions on Mathematics, 40 questions on Engineering Mechanics, 40 questions on Engineering Graphics, and 50 questions on General Engineering. The test duration is 3 hours, and the maximum achievable marks are 600.

After successful submission, candidates who meet the deadline can download the CUSAT CAT 2024 admit card from the official website. The admit card contains details about the exam date and time, exam center address, roll number, candidate details, and exam day guidelines. It is mandatory to carry the admit card on the day of the exam, and no student without it will be allowed to appear.
