CUET Results Postponed Due to NEET, UGC NET Controversies and CBI's Arrests in Paper Leak Case

Over the past month, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has faced controversy surrounding the alleged paper leak during the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. The results were announced on June 4, earlier than planned, amidst allegations of a paper leak and an inflated number of toppers. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken up the case, making several arrests, with the prime suspect believed to have fled to Nepal.

Political and Presidential Involvement:

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi raised the issue in the Lok Sabha, calling for a debate. President Droupadi Murmu also addressed the issue, stressing the importance of transparency and a fair investigation. An expert committee has been formed to review NTA's functioning and recommend reforms. The committee is also inviting suggestions from the public.

NTA Denies Mishandling CUET UG 2024 Answer Sheets:

NTA has refuted allegations of mishandling answer sheets for the Central University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2024. However, the CUET result is expected to be delayed. In light of these events, the Education Ministry has removed the NTA chief and appointed a new director general.

Revised Dates for UGC-NET 2024 Exam Announced:

The revised dates for the UGC-NET 2024 exam have been announced, with the exam now being a computer-based test. The previous offline exam was cancelled due to ongoing controversy.

While investigations into the alleged NEET UG 2024 paper leak continue, measures are being taken to ensure transparency and fairness in future examinations conducted by NTA.
