The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced a crucial update regarding the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024. Originally scheduled for December 15, 2024, the exam will now take place a day earlier, on December 14, 2024. This shift was made to avoid clashes with other major competitive exams that are set to happen the same weekend in various states and union territories.

Why the Date Change?

CBSE's decision to reschedule the CTET exam reflects its dedication to supporting candidates. A notification from the board reads, "As per the information received from various candidates, a few competitive examinations are scheduled to be held on December 15, 2024. Keeping in mind the interest of the candidates, the CTET examination has been moved to December 14, 2024." The CBSE also stated that if the number of candidates in any particular city exceeds expectations, the exam may still be conducted on December 15 as well.

This adjustment not only provides candidates with flexibility but also ensures they won't miss out on other important exams that might have fallen on the same day.

Eligibility for CTET December 2024

• Candidates must be Indian citizens and at least 18 years old.
• You should have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in your senior secondary or graduation, depending on the teaching position you're applying for.

CBSE has structured the exam fee based on the category of the applicants and the number of papers they wish to take:

• General/OBC Candidates:
• ₹1000/- for one paper.
• ₹1200/- for both papers.
• SC/ST/Differently Abled Candidates:
• ₹500/- for one paper.
• ₹600/- for both papers.

Payments can be made online via debit cards, credit cards, or net banking, offering candidates flexibility and convenience.
