CTET Application Form 2024: Application process, Eligibility and more

The deadline for CTET 2024 online registration is approaching. Candidates wishing to take the exam must complete the CTET registration process. CBSE is currently accepting online applications for the CTET July 2024 exam, with the application form available for approximately one month. The last date to submit the online form is April 2, 2024. The CBSE CTET apply online link for 2024 was released on March 7, 2024, on the official exam website ctet.nic.in.

CTET 2024 Application Process: Step-by-Step Guide

The application process for CTET July 2024 is conducted entirely online. Follow these steps to register and submit your application:

  • Visit the Official CTET Website: Go to the official CTET website at https://ctet.nic.in/.
  • Locate the Application Link: Look for the "Apply Online" link for CTET July 2024 prominently displayed on the homepage.
  • Register and Create an Account: New users need to register and create an online account by providing basic details and generating a login ID and password.
  • Fill Out the Application Form: Proceed to fill out the online application form carefully, ensuring accurate information in all sections, including personal details, educational qualifications, and exam preferences (Paper 1, Paper 2, or both).
  • Upload Required Documents: Upload scanned copies of documents such as your photo, signature, educational certificates, and Teacher's Training qualification certificate, ensuring clarity and adherence to file size limits.
  • Pay the Application Fee: The application fee varies based on the candidate's category (General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.) and the number of papers opted for. Make the online payment using a debit card, credit card, or net banking facility.
  • Review and Submit the Application: After completing all sections, uploading documents, and paying the fee, carefully review the application for errors or omissions before electronically submitting it.
  • Print the Application Confirmation: Upon successful submission, download or print a confirmation page for future reference.

CTET July 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation with enrollment or completion of the first year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name).
  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and enrollment or completion of a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) program.
  • Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and enrollment or completion of a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) program as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the first year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the first year of a 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed.
  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and completion or enrollment in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) program.

Application Fee

Applications will only be considered valid if accompanied by the requisite fee, which differs for single and double papers. For CTET July Paper 1 or Paper 2, candidates are required to pay Rs. 1000/- [General/OBC(NCL)] and Rs. 500/- [SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person].

CBSE will also offer a one-time opportunity for candidates to modify or correct their submitted application form. The CTET form correction window for 2024 will be open from April 8 to 12, 2024. Before completing the CTET application form, candidates should verify their eligibility. If they meet the CTET eligibility criteria, they can proceed with the application process, which includes exam registration, form completion, and fee payment.
