CSIR‑UGC NET June 2026 results and ranks went live on September 10. Scorecards now show normalised percentiles, raw marks and All India Rank. Aspirants rushed to check eligibility for fellowships, lectureship, and PhD admissions. This is the CSIR‑NET for science subjects, not the UGC‑NET re‑exam.
NTA held the exam on July 17 and 18 across 224 cities. Provisional keys and responses opened for challenge in mid‑August, then closed. Final answer keys and scorecards were issued on August 29. Result and rank followed on September 10 via the CSIR‑NET portal.

Category‑1 confers Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor eligibility together. JRF pays Rs 37,000 monthly for two years, then Rs 42,000 as SRF. Category‑2 grants Assistant Professor eligibility and PhD admission, without fellowship. Category‑3 is PhD‑only; marks stay valid one year for admissions. Assistant Professor eligibility has no end period once awarded.
Official subject‑wise cut‑offs are expected after rank publication on the portal. Use last year’s thresholds to gauge chances while you wait. In June 2025, unreserved JRF ranged near 51–61 percent across subjects. Assistant Professor hovered around 46–55 percent, and PhD‑only near 36–45 percent.
| Subject (UR) | JRF (%) | Assistant Professor (%) | PhD‑only (%) |

| Chemical Sciences | 50.75 | 45.675 | 36.75 |
| Earth Sciences | 61.29 | 55.161 | 45.31 |
| Life Sciences | 51.50 | 46.350 | 38.25 |

E‑certificates and JRF award letters will be hosted on the CSIR‑NET portal. Recent cycles saw certificates released online; December 2025 certificates were released in May 2026. Watch Candidate Activity for a new ‘Download E‑Certificate’ link for June 2026. Re‑evaluation or re‑checking is not allowed; use the NTA helpdesk for issues.
Download and store your scorecard, then shortlist programmes aligned to your category. Prepare documents for verification and monitor the portal for the e‑certificate. JRF awardees should track joining formalities and funding timelines with host institutes. Category‑2 and Category‑3 candidates should plan admissions within the one‑year validity.
