The application process for the CSIR-UGC NET 2024 exam has commenced, facilitated by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications via the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in. The deadline for application submission is May 21, with the fee payment window closing on May 23 at 11:50 pm.

CSIR UGC NET June 2024 application process starts

Scheduled to take place on June 25, 26, and 27, the exam will be administered in computer-based test (CBT) mode, available in both English and Hindi languages. The examination duration is three hours, featuring objective-type questions with multiple-choice options.

How to complete the CSIR NET Application Form 2024?

  • Visit the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the "Fill online CSIR NET Application Form 2024" link.
  • If you're a new applicant, opt for the "New Registration" option.
  • Agree to the terms by checking the provided box and proceed by clicking "Click Here to Proceed".
  • Enter personal details in the application form.
  • Complete the checklists and declaration form, then select "Final Submit".
  • Confirm registration by clicking "Yes" in the dialogue box displayed on the screen.
  • An application number will be generated and displayed on the screen; proceed by clicking the "Complete Application" option.
  • Verify your mobile number and email address; proceed to enter details such as post applied for, center choice, subject choice, etc., in a new tab.
  • Enter the security key provided and click the "Submit" button.
  • After filling out all required details, click "Final Submit".
  • Upload scanned signature and photograph in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the application fees before final submission.
  • Download and save the CSIR NET Application Form 2024 for future reference.

Eligibility criteria

  • For JRF, the maximum age limit is 30 years as of June 1, 2024. For Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor positions, there is no upper age limit.
  • Educational qualifications include holding an M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B. Tech/ B. Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks.

Application fees

  • General category candidates: Rs 1150
  • General-EWS/OBC-NCL category candidates: Rs 650
  • SC/ST/PwD/Third gender candidates: Rs 325
