CSIR UGC NET is a single-paper MCQ-based test held in the subjects such as chemical sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences and physical sciences. The total number of marks will be 200. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
If a candidate applies for JRF and fulfills the laid-down eligibility criteria for Lectureship, such a candidate will be considered for both JRF & LS. If a candidate is over-aged for JRF (NET), then he/she will be automatically considered for Lectureship (NET) alone.
