Cricket Training Programme with the MCC at the Doon School

Bangalore, December 18, 2014: The Doon School, Deharadun is delighted to announce that the school's cricket training with the MCC, London Cricket Academy supported by Pitch Vision Technology, will be open to boys from across India and held from 25th -29th January 2015'.

"Open to all boys from across India, the MCC Academy will provide them with the most outstanding coaching ever seen at school level. The academy will provide the pupils with the very best coaching and technical analysis whilst also inspiring team building and leadership skills.", said Dr Peter McLaughlin, Headmaster of the Doon School."

"The Doon School constantly strive to provide value add opportunities for promising young cricketers to role model leading cricketers and learn from the very best. The school coaches will also be provided with training and the drills. This training academy is part of the ongoing training relationship that The Doon School has with the MCC", added Dr. McLaughlin

"MCC Lord's Club is delighted to be returning to The Doon School in January 2015. This marks the return for the coaches exactly one year after the inaugural coaching camp, and we hope, lays the foundation for regular camps during the course of the year", said Simon Reid of the MCC Lord's Club.

The MCC is supported by outstanding technology which coincidentally is manufactured by an international company in Dehradun and exported worldwide. Pitch Vision will be supporting the MCC again this year, and The Doon School will be buying the technology so that the boys can continue to develop their play with the school's coaches once the school's season is under way.

The Doon School will be the first school in India to have the technology and up until earlier this year not even the Indian test team was using it! Some of the school's exchange schools in the UK, Australia and South Africa have this equipment, and we are very excited that the boys in and out of the school will be able benefit from this investment.
