The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has opened its doors to students of economics, law, management, and finance, inviting them to apply for its internship program. Internship Overview
Duration: Internships commence every month, with each session lasting for one month.
Number of Interns: Up to 15 interns are accepted monthly, with exceptions made for exceptional candidates with strong research topics.
Application Process
Interested candidates must adhere to the following steps to apply:
- Format: Applications must be submitted in the format provided in Annexure. Any applications not following this format will be disregarded.
- Recommendation: A recommendation from a competent authority at the candidate's academic institution is mandatory. Applications lacking recommendations will not be considered.
- Statement of Purpose: Applicants must submit a 200-word 'Statement of Purpose', outlining the topic and objectives of their proposed research.
- Deadline: Applications for the desired internship month must be submitted by the first of the preceding month.

Allowance and Certificates
- Interns will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 15,000.
- Upon successful completion of the internship, interns will be awarded certificates acknowledging their participation and contribution.
Eligibility Criteria
- The internship is open to Indian nationals only.
- Candidates must be enrolled in recognized institutions and universities with exposure to competition law.
- Students with confirmed placements are ineligible to apply.
Eligible Courses
- Economics and Management: MA/MSc. (Economics), fourth and final year students of a 5-year integrated degree program in Economics, and MBA.
- Law: Second and third year of the Bachelor's degree in Law (3-year course after graduation), fourth and final year of the 5-year integrated course in Law, students entering the 4th year after a 3-year law exam, and LLM.
- Regulatory Governance: MA/MSc. (Regulatory Governance).
- Professional Courses: Final group students of Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, or Company Secretary.
Duration Flexibility
While the internship typically spans one month, candidates can extend their internship to 2-3 calendar months with a recommendation from their institution.
