The General Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has decided to conduct the CLAT 2021 exam on Jul 23. The consortium will conduct the CLAT entrance exam in pen and paper mode for both UG and PG programmes between 2 pm and 4 pm. Candidates who have registered for the entrance exam are advised to check the official website for CLAT 2021 exam date and other important details.
Earlier, the Consortium of NLUs has postponed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 exam scheduled on June 13 due to the surge of COVID-19 cases across the country. It has also allowed candidates to apply for CLAT 2021 exam till June 15, 2021. Check the CLAT 2021 exam date and exam guidelines.

The official notice reads, "CLAT-2021 will be held on Friday, 23rd July, 2021 between 2 & 4 PM for both UG and PG programmes. As notified earlier, the CLAT 2021 will be a Pen and Paper exam conducted at Centres with all COVID 19 safety protocols being observed."
LLM Programme Exam Pattern
Candidates who are aspiring for the LL.M. programme in CLAT 2021 should note that the examination will include only 120 MCQs. The exam duration is 20 minutes. There will be no descriptive section in CLAT 2021.
The official notice reads, "In view of avoiding longer travel to the Test Centres, applicants will be given a chance to revisit their preference of Test Centre after last date of submission of filled-in-application. The Consortium as far as possible will try to adjust first or second preference of the Test Centre. Hence, you are advised to keep visiting the Consortium website."
Every year, the Consortium of NLUs conduct the CLAT entrance exam once a year for admission to 21 prominent National Law Universities across India besides other private universities in the country. Candidates who stand out in the CLAT exam can seek admission in 3-year/5-year Integrated LLB and LLM programmes.
