The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially started the CLAT 2027 registration process today, August 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM IST. Eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by participating National Law Universities can now submit their applications through the official CLAT admission portal.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 will be conducted on December 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Consortium has confirmed that there are no changes in the examination pattern or syllabus for this admission cycle.

CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate (UG) Programme
Candidates applying for the five-year integrated LLB programme must:
- Have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination.
- Secure at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories require a minimum of 40% marks.
- Students appearing for their qualifying examination in Spring 2027 are also eligible to apply.
Postgraduate (PG) Programme
Candidates seeking admission to the one-year LLM programme must:
- Hold an LLB degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Obtain at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
- SC/ST candidates require a minimum of 45% marks.
Admission Through CLAT 2027
CLAT scores are accepted by all participating National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. In addition, several private universities, affiliated institutions, and public sector organisations also consider CLAT scores for admissions and recruitment.
Candidates should carefully review the eligibility criteria and participating institutions before submitting their application.
