In a recent announcement made by the Union Government to scrap the CBSE and CISCE Class 12th board exams 2021, many of the state boards have also started cancelling the pending board exams due to the deteriorating Coronavirus situation. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting and decided to cancel the CBSE Class 12th board exams considering the health and safety of students. As per the official sources, students will be promoted based on the internal assessment and/or objective manner. Jharkhand 12th Exams 2021: On June 11, the Jharkhand Government has cancelled the Class 12 board exams along with Class 10 board exams 2021 in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will soon release the alternative assessment scheme to prepare the result.
JKBOSE 12th Exams 2021: On June 9, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has cancelled Class 12 and Class 10 exams 2021. The Office of LG J&K has announced that the results will be based on the internal assessment.
Telangana 12th Exams 2021: On June 9, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has decided to cancel the Class 12 Board Exams 2021 and promote almost four lakh students. The evaluation will be based on their performance in the intermediate first year (class 11).
West Bengal 12th Exams 2021: On June 7, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to cancel the state board Class 12 and Class 10 examinations 2021 due to the current Covid-19 situations.
Tamil Nadu 12th Exams 2021: On June 5, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin has chaired a high-level meeting and decided to cancel the TN Class 12th board exams 2021. He announced that a committee will be formed to formulate marks regarding the TN 12th board result 2021.
Odisha 12th Exams 2021: On June 5, the Odisha State Government has cancelled the CHSE Odisha 12th Exam 2021 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that the decision will bring relief for the students who were aspiring for exams. The CHSE is likely to release well defined objective criteria to award marks to Class 12th exams 2021.
NIOS 12th Exams 2021: On June 4, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has cancelled the Class 12th board exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced that students will be evaluated based on objective criteria.
Karnataka 2nd PUC Exams 2021: On June 4, the Karnataka Government has decided to cancel the 2nd PUC exams scheduled between May and June. Education Minister Suresh Kumar has taken the decision after feedback and consultation. Students will be awarded marks based on the alternative assessment criteria. The DPUE to release the evaluation criteria soon.
UP Board 12th Exams 2021: On June 3, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has cancelled the Class 12th board exams due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma has confirmed that the assessment criteria will be released soon.
Haryana 12th Exams 2021: On June 3, Haryana Government has cancelled the Class 12th board exams 2021. Education Minister Kanwar Pal has announced that the Haryana Board of Secondary Education (HBSE) will release the assessment criteria soon on the official website.
Maharashtra 12th Exams 2021: On June 3, the Maharashtra government has cancelled the Class 12th board exams amid the Coronavirus crisis. Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has announced that the assessment criteria and other details will be available soon on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).
Goa 12th Board Exams 2021: On June 3, the Government of Goa has decided to cancel the GSBSHSE Class 12 board exam 2021. Goa CM Pramod Sawant has taken the decision in view of the safety and well-being of the students. The Goa Class 12th result 2021 will be based on the objective criteria. Rajasthan 12th Exams 2021: On June 2, the Rajasthan Government has cancelled the Classes 12th and 10th board exams 2021. Minister of School Education Govind Singh Dotasra has confirmed that the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) board exams 2021 were cancelled in the interest of students. It has decided to promote the students based on the internal assessment.
Uttarakhand 12th Exams 2021: On June 2, Uttarakhand Education Minister Arvind Pandey has announced that the Class 12th board exams have been cancelled. The UBSE board will release the results soon.
MP Board 12th Exams 2021: On June 2, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that the MPBSE Class 12th board exam was cancelled. He also announced that the MPBSE will soon release the evaluation criteria.
Gujarat 12th Exams 2021: On June 2, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has cancelled the Class 12th board examinations scheduled to begin from July 1, 2021. Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama has announced that the students will be assessed based on internal assessment.
