Hundreds of civil services aspirants Monday protested outside Parliament House, demanding changes in the examination pattern of the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC).

The protesters were demanding three extra chances in the UPSC entrance examinations, a review of the examination pattern, and inclusion of certain subjects in the syllabus which were dropped this year. "The examination pattern is discriminatory. This should be reviewed," a protesting student said before being whisked away by police.
