CISCE ISC Class 12th Board Exams 2021 Cancelled, Results Based On Internal Examinations

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has cancelled the Indian School Certificate (ISC) or Class 12th board exams 2021 considering the health and wellbeing of the students. The CISCE has taken the decision after CBSE's decision to cancel the Class 12th board exams. The Board has announced that the results will be processed based on a mechanism that includes the internal examinations. It will soon release the assessment criteria for CISCE ISC class 12th board exams 2021 in due course.

CBSE 12th Board Exams 2021 Cancelled

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting and decided to cancel CBSE Class 12th board exams 2021 in the interest of students.

Modi tweeted. "Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth."

The official notice reads, "In view of the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. the CISCE has decided to cancel the ISC (Class 12) year 2021 examinations. The safety, health and wellbeing of our students, teaching faculty and all stakeholders is our topmost priority and of paramount interest."

It also reads, "The results will be processed on a mechanism which will also include the internal examinations conducted by the schools. The schools will be informed in due course of time, of this mechanism."

"After the declaration of the ISC (Class XII) year 2021 results, if some candidates are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them, the CSICE will give an option to such candidates to write the ISC (Class XII) Year 2021 Examination at a later date, when the situation is conducive to conduct the same," the notice concluded.

Earlier, CISCE has cancelled the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12th) board exams due to the surge of COVID-19 cases.
