ICSE and ISC Board Exam Time Table Announced: CISCE

The Indian Secondary Certificate (ISC) and Indian Certificate Secondary Examinations (ICSE) has announced the time table for the Class X (ICSE) and Class XII (ISC) board examination for the academic session 2016. The exam time table for the same was announced on Friday, November 27, 2015 on the official website of CISCE.

The examination for ISC will begin from February 8, 2016 and conclude on April 8, 2016. The ISC exams will begin with Physics Paper II and will end on April 8, 2016 with Geography Paper I.


The ICSE examination will begin from February 29, 2016 and will end on March 31, 2016. The Class X board exams will begin with English paper and end with Art paper.

The CISCE has also introduced certain changes in the marking scheme for ISC Class 12 board exams. According to the new scheme, the theory exam and practical exam will be conducted with a ratio of 70:30 marks respectively.

ISC and ICSE 2015 Board Exam Highlights

The total number of candidates who appeared for the ICSE Examination in 2015 is 1,58,833. The number of boys who appeared for the ICSE Class X board exam in 2015 is 88,209, while the number of girls who appeared for the examination is 70,624.

The total number of candidates who appeared for the ISC Class XII examination in 2015 is 71,141. The number of boys who appeared for the examination is 38,659 while the number of girls in 32,482.

The pass percentage for ICSE in 2015 was 98.54% and for ISC it was 96.38%
