Major changes in Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2016 has been made by the Staff Selection Commission. It is also available in SSC official website ssc.nic.in

According to the notification put out by SSC recently, the changes have been issued against the SSC CHSL 2016 advertisement released on October 8, 2016.

In the notification released, the commission has announced changes in the following fields:

  • Pay of the post
  • Educational qualification
  • Skill Test for DEO

When was the SSC CHSL exam held?

The Staff Selection Committee Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2016 (Tier-I) was held in the computer based mode from January 7 to February 8.

Why was SSC CHSL exam invitation published?

The recruitment process was held to invite applications from interested candidates for recruitment to posts of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks and Court Clerk.

Vacancy availability

The examination is being conducted to fill up 5133 posts.

Vacancies for each post

  • Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant: 3281
  • LDC: 1321
  • DEO: 506
  • Court Clerk: 26

Selection Process

The selection process is for selecting candidates for more than 5000 vacancies in the above mentioned posts.

Selection procedure:

  • Tier 1 (computer based written exam)
  • Tier 2 (descriptive paper)
  • Tier 3 (typing test/ skill test).

5200 to 20200
