Changes in government school timings

Chandigarh: The UT education department has changed timings for all the single as well as double shift government schools.

This change was brought into effect from November 1. The changes made has brought much relief to teachers and students, especially to those coming from outside Chandigarh.

The timings were changed from November 1 and will be followed all through the winter season. It will especially benefit students coming from distant places like Pinjore, Zirakpur and Mohali," said a spokesperson from UT education department.

Some students, however, said the timings should have been changed before when the mornings turned cold.

Some of the private schools have also changed timings post Diwali.
