India's Chandigarh University is quickly becoming the preferred destination for top global Information Technology (IT) firms in search of new talent. The university's computer science graduates from the 2024 cohort had an impressive showing in the campus placement drive, with 1,879 students landing positions in well-known multinational corporations (MNCs) across the IT industry. This achievement underscores the university's solid relationships with the industry and the high quality of its students.

This placement drive featured participation from leading IT enterprises such as Microsoft Engage, Google, and Tata Consultancy Services, alongside Tech Mahindra, IBM India, HCL Tech, Accenture India Pvt Ltd, and more. These companies recognized the proficiency of the students in programming and their practical experience with the latest technologies by offering roles in advanced areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Data Science, and Cybersecurity. The drive for the year 2024 saw Microsoft Engage offering the highest annual package at Rs 51.54 lakh, with the average salary reaching Rs 8.11 lakh. Additionally, 317 students received more than one job offer, highlighting their diverse skill set and readiness for the industry. Among the standout achievers was Rashmil Mohan, who secured four job offers from leading firms.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) played a pivotal role by hiring 585 students from the 2024 batch, providing salary packages of up to Rs 11.5 lakh per annum. Other significant recruiters included KPIT Technologies Limited, Tech Mahindra Ltd, and Hike Education Pvt. Ltd. The success of the placements extended beyond computer science to encompass fields like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Information Security, showcasing a wide array of opportunities for the students.
