Educational Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
• Possession of a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a recognized institution is mandatory.
• Successful completion of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-1 under the guidelines framed by NCTE is a prerequisite.

Age Limit

• Candidates applying for Chandigarh JBT vacancies must be between 18 to 27 years old. The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2024.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the preparation of a merit list derived from the total marks obtained in the objective-type test. A single objective-type test, totaling 150 marks, will be conducted. The qualifying marks for the test are set at 40% for all candidates, and no interview will be conducted as part of the selection process.

A non-refundable application fee of ₹1000/- is applicable. However, candidates with disabilities (PwD) are exempted from the fee payment, following the guidelines issued by the Government of India.
