Educational Qualifications

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Possession of a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a recognized institution is mandatory.
Successful completion of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-1 under the guidelines framed by NCTE is a prerequisite.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for Chandigarh JBT vacancies must be between 18 to 27 years old. The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2024.
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the preparation of a merit list derived from the total marks obtained in the objective-type test. A single objective-type test, totaling 150 marks, will be conducted. The qualifying marks for the test are set at 40% for all candidates, and no interview will be conducted as part of the selection process.

A non-refundable application fee of ₹1000/- is applicable. However, candidates with disabilities (PwD) are exempted from the fee payment, following the guidelines issued by the Government of India.
