CGPSC State Service Examination 2025 Recruitment

The CGPSC recruitment is being conducted for 265 vacancies in 20 departments under the Chhattisgarh government. The Preliminary Examination was held on February 22, 2026, at district headquarters across the state.

Candidates who cleared the preliminary stage subsequently appeared for the State Service Main Examination, which was conducted at designated centres in Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur and Raipur.

The next stage involves document verification and interviews for candidates shortlisted after the mains examination.

Demands for Transparency in CGPSC Recruitment

The postponement comes amid demands from the Congress for greater transparency in the evaluation and shortlisting process. Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel had called for postponing the interviews until concerns raised by candidates were addressed.

Baghel sought publication of answer sheets before the interviews and free copies of evaluated answer sheets for candidates, including those who were not shortlisted. He also called for disclosure of evaluator criteria, release of model answers for the mains examination and re-evaluation of answer sheets.

The Congress has alleged discrepancies in the evaluation process and questioned the number of candidates shortlisted for interviews. The ruling BJP has rejected these allegations, stating that minimum qualifying marks were prescribed and that subject experts conduct evaluation with candidates' identities concealed.

These are competing claims by the political parties and should not be treated as findings of the Commission unless established through official proceedings.

What Should CGPSC Candidates Do Now?

Candidates shortlisted for the interview should not report according to the earlier September 20 schedule unless a revised date is officially announced. They should continue preparing for the interview and keep their educational certificates, identity documents and other required records ready for document verification.

Candidates should regularly check the official CGPSC website for the new dates, reporting instructions and any additional notification.

The CGPSC State Service Exam 2025 interview process remains postponed, and the Commission is yet to announce the revised schedule. Any further changes should be followed through official notifications.
