Centre wants to provide low-cost education: Irani

Amritsar, November 17: The central government wants to provide greater access to quality education for more number of students, union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani said Sunday.

Talking to the media here, Irani said the central government was working on providing quality education at low cost to students. Irani was here to address the concluding session of the 60th national conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) here. She said some graduate, post-graduate and other courses in central universities, Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will be offered online to help students interested in obtaining higher education by paying less fee.
