The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced its plans to soon open an office in the United Arab Emirates. This step will ensure to increase the convenience for students studying the CBSE curriculum in UAE, encompassing over 79 schools.

Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education, has conveyed this decision. During a meeting with Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Pradhan ascertained the upcoming setting up of the CBSE office. He further stated, the decision would restore confidence towards India's education system amongst people in UAE.This decision will positively impact the Indian diaspora residing in UAE besides the schools following CBSE curriculum.
He also met with Minister of State HE Sara Musallam and stated on the social media site X that the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus will be a model of friendship. He went on a tour of Zayed University's temporary campus. The IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi campus will open in January 2024.
"More universities can come in the near future. More than 100 schools of CBSE, India's prominent national education board, are functional in UAE.... We are soon going to open a CBSE office here," Pradhan said.
The establishment of the CBSE office will simplify administrative and examination procedures, providing an operational base for CBSE affiliated schools in UAE. Furthermore, this will also enable easy access to resources and updates for those affiliated to the CBSE board in UAE.
