The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the extension of the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025 registration deadline till November 20, 2025. This scholarship program is a vital initiative under CBSE's social empowerment scheme to promote and support education for single girl children studying in CBSE-affiliated schools across the country.
Originally scheduled to close earlier, the board has now extended the last date to provide more students an opportunity to apply for financial aid. The Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme is applicable for students who have passed Class 10 CBSE Examination with at least 60% marks and are now enrolled in Class 11 or 12 in CBSE schools. The program aims to encourage parents to educate their daughters and to support girls in continuing their academic journey without financial barriers.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official website - cbse.gov.in. Applicants are advised to carefully read the eligibility criteria, guidelines, and renewal terms before applying. The verification process of applications by the schools will be conducted until November 30, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The student must be the only girl child of her parents.
- She must have secured at least 60% marks in Class 10 CBSE Examination.
- She should be pursuing studies in Class 11 or 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- The tuition fee of the school must not exceed ₹1,500 per month during the academic year.

3. Register using the required details such as roll number, date of birth, and school information.
4. Fill in the online application form and upload necessary documents.

Scholarship Benefits:
The scholarship offers ₹500 per month for a period of two years to support the education of meritorious single girl students. The amount is directly transferred to the student's bank account through electronic transfer.
