CBSE to set up 100 English Medium Schools

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi has received 100 applications to start English medium schools in Gujarat state.

 

While Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has received only 20 applications to start secondary schools and 50 applications for higher secondary schools.

The Board examinations for the year 2014, for both the state and central board has come to an and.

Presently, Gujarat has a total of 284 CBSE affiliated schools.

More number of parents from the state want to admit their children to the CBSE schools.

According to parents, admitting a child in a school affiliated to CBSE, grooms him or her in learning the style of CBSE syllabi which is used most often in competitive entrance exams. The new innovations brought about by CBSE, specially the schemes motivated to reduce stress on students is alluring both to parents and children.

CBSE has an innovative way to educate the children which includes continuous and comprehensive evaluation system, the optional class 10th external board exam, providing the formulae within the exam paper, open text-based assessment etc.

The class 10th Board examination was held from 13th to 24th March 2014.

The class 12th Board examination has began from 13th March and will end on 28th March 2014.
