The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the closure of the Class 10 revaluation window today, marking a significant deadline for students pursuing a re-evaluation of their examination marks. Originally, the CBSE released the results for classes 10 and 12 on May 13, 2024.

Students who believed their initial grades did not accurately reflect their performance were provided with the opportunity to request re-evaluation or reverification of their marks. This process involves a comprehensive review of the student's answer sheets by the CBSE.
For the academic session of 2024, an astounding 22,81,225 students across 25,726 schools had registered for the Class 10 examination. These students undertook exams in 82 subjects, spanning both India and 26 overseas countries. The CBSE meticulously evaluated approximately 1,48,27,963 answer books for this session. Despite the CBSE's thorough assessment and result preparation, the board acknowledges the potential for discrepancies in evaluation and hence offers students the option to apply for marks verification, obtain photocopies of evaluated answer books, and request re-evaluation of their answers.
Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for CBSE Class 10 Revaluation 2024
To apply for revaluation, students must visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. Upon accessing the site, they should navigate to the 'Pariksha Sangam' tab, click on 'Continue', and proceed to the 'Schools (Ganga)' section. Here, they will find the option for 'School DigiLocker and Post Exam Activities'. By selecting the 're-checking and re-evaluation tab' and following the prompt to 'apply for verification (class 10)', students will be required to enter their roll number, 5 digit school number, and center number as mentioned on their admit card.
There is a fee associated with the re-evaluation process. Students must pay Rs.500 for the verification of marks, Rs.700 per answer sheet for photocopies, and Rs.100 per question for re-evaluation. In the event of any change in marks (whether an increase or decrease), students are required to surrender their original Marksheet cum Certificate. Subsequently, a new Marksheet cum Certificate reflecting the revised marks will be issued.
For students and guardians seeking further information on the revaluation process and associated fees, detailed notifications and guidelines are available on the official CBSE website. This initiative by the CBSE underscores its commitment to ensuring accuracy and fairness in the evaluation process, thereby upholding the integrity of its examination system.
